Mr. Imran Raza Kazmi is currently working as subject specialist at DOT. He has been teaching Income Tax Law to Probationary Officers and is also incharge/coordinator of Capacity Building training Programme for middle management.

Professional Experience

Mr. Kazmi started his career as a Scientist/Geologist with Pakistan Atomic Energy Minerals Centre in 1981. In 1982, he joined Wapda as Hydrologist and served on various Dam sites with Foreign Consultants, like Monenco, etc. He joined Income Tax group in 1986. He has served the Department as Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Staff Officer, SA to CIT, Departmental Representative to Income Tax Appellate Tribunals, Additional Director of Inspection & Audit and Additional Commissioner of Income Tax of various Ranges and functional Units. He has been an active member of the team, which has been engaged in cleansing of record and reform process of Direct Taxes. On recognition of his services, he was awarded cash rewards and best performance shield on many occasions.

He enthusiastically participated in extracurricular activities at various levels and was office bearer of various clubs/societies in College/University and at Civil Services Academy. Having aptitude of reading and writing, he occasionally contributed in national magazines/newspapers
