I am impressed. As a former Resident
Instructor, in my own tax Administration US Internal Revenue
Service, I can appreciate the vision, hard work and
forethought that has gone into creating and sustaining this
institution. I have had the opportunity to interact with
former students who probably did not appreciate completely
the opportunity they were afforded until they found
themselves in the field on their own with their training
from DOT as their one and only resource. Having said the
foregoing, I encourage the DOT administration and
instructors not to rest on their laurels. Significant new
challenges face the CBR and its employees. DOT must be ahead
in the curve in equipping these employees for the future.
Thank you for your gracious hospatality.

A superb facility, up to the best
standards I have seen anywhere. It has been eye-opening and
I would strongly recommend that this be leveraged, rented
out to private sector and proceeds used for even more and
better training of our training of our Tax officials.

It has been a highly rewarding
experience to speak to the grade 20 refresher course of the
Income tax Deptt. The DOT is highly professional training
institution providing quality education to the officers and
staff of the Taxation Deptt. It is objective of the
commitment of the DG and his faculty. I see the DOT
developing into an elite institution in the future. I wish
them continued success.

To have been at DOT with 200 odd direct
and indirect taxes people really is the pinnacle for me as I
retire tomorrow. They were affectionate and energised in a
manner I thought impossible 2¾ years ago. Also to see DOTs
new hostel has come up completely within 13 months is an
achievement indeed. This facilty has grown upon me with
every subsequent visit. Indeed it is hugely attributable to
the leader -- my own childhood pat -- Farooq Malik. May DOT
prosper more and more.

I feel honoured to have visited this
premier institution of Pakistan. I am convinced that each
penny from public exchequer is being spent properly. This
facility is bound to benefit our tax generations. The
standard of training is exceptionally high because of
motivated faculty and presence of each training instrument.
The interaction with trainees has been thought provoking. I
am sure that this house of learning will contribute a lot in
making taxocracy the most modern and efficient bureaucracy
dedicated to serve the taxpayer in particular and the public
in general. I wish all the success for the institute and its
faculty.

It was a remarkable experience in every
respect. The facility at DOT is well placed for an
international course. In my opinion the facility could be
used as an avenue for tax education as well. Both my
daughter and I received home like welcome and I find it
difficult to leave especially for the affection that we
received here. I found that enthusiasm for learning and
openness for change. If we continue this way the tax
administration in Pakistan could become an example for
others. I wish DOT success in future.
